Frozen Truffles


Easy and lovely recipe!! Suitable for cooking with children, not suitable for diets but… we all need a treat from time to time! We can use our weekly’s! 2 ProPoints per truffle!

Frozen Truffles


  • 60g butter
  • 60g sugar
  • 100g ground almond
  • 2 tablespoons ground cocoa
  • 60g madeira cake
  • liqueur (recommended Cointreau, Tia Maria or Rum)
  • chocolate flavour strands


  1. Grate the madeira cake
  2. Add the butter and melt it in the microwave for a minute
  3. Add the ground almonds, cocoa, sugar and liqueur
  4. Mix everything with a fork until getting a homogeneous paste.
  5. Make small balls with your hands and coat them in chocolate flavour strands.
  6. Place every ball in mini muffin cases as pictured above.
  7. Put them in the freezer and eat them frozen.
  8. I usually make 24 truffles out of these measures.
