Cottage Pie


Traditional English cottage pie, extremely filling. Can be eaten on its own or with side vegetables and gravy. Just 11 ProPoints, good value for a filling main course! I made mine in a Pie dish from Amazon UK.

  • 1Kg Potatoes
  • 400g Extra lean mince beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 courgette
  • 100g green beans
  • 300ml beef stock / 900ml vegetable stock
  • 50g peas
  • Mixed herbs, black pepper
  • 4 teaspoons of Gravy Powder
  • Spray olive oil
  • Dash of skimmed milk
  1. Cook the potatoes in 900ml of vegetable stock
  2. Meanwhile, cook the mince in a large saucepan. When browned, add the onion, the carrot and the courgette cut in small pieces. Add the mixed herbs and the beef stock after 3-4 min.
  3. Preheat the grill
  4. Drain and mash the potatoes adding a dash of skimmed milk.
  5. Add the peas to the mince and the gravy granules, stirring until thickened. Top with the mash and grill until browned.
  6. Serve immediately with some side vegetables and gravy or just on its own.
